The new Upper East Side home of the talented young chef Josh DeChellis is that rare restaurant that combines the scale and comfort of a neighborhood joint with first-class cooking. Where else can you enjoy coddled duck eggs, bowls of risotto folded with oysters, or delicate terrines of potted suckling pig, all while sitting at the bar, watching a ball game on TV?

Please try Cafe Centro. It is in the back of the Grand Central Station. You can book a table using opentable.com. The website will provide info on this restaurant, as well as a link to the Cafe Centro website. All of the sister restaurants in that group are really good and very appropriate for entertaining a customer.

I just visited NYC a few weeks ago, and fell in love with the food and ambiance at a place called Rue 57 at 60 West 57th Street. It's classy and the food was great. My sister lives there and commented on the fact that she couldn't believe she'd never been there before. They have outdoor tables also, but inside it's very comfortable. There is even a bathroom attendant! Very classy yet comfortable.
