I have a 2 year old sun conure and a 7 months old Yellow Peril Cockatiel and I had hopped they could live in the same cage but not a chance. The counure will chace the poor little tiel and bite him. The conure has a mouth so big that he could bite the tiels head off if he could get chance. I tried putting both cages side by side and the counure would walk around on top of the tiels cage and try to nip him any chance he got. I set them across the room and they after 3 months will go to each others cage and eat each others food now but still fight some. Back when we first got the tiel he got down and the floor and was walking up the ladder to the counures cage and the conure grabed him by his feathers that stick up on top of his head and tried to yank him off the ladder and drop him in the floor. Was funny but still had to run to save the little guy. He has learned to defend himself a lot better now. But we have to keep an eye on the conure. The conure will even wait till he sees the cat asleep and go bit him so by all means do not put a conure in a cage with smaller birds. you will have dead birds when you look back.

Try separate cages first. Keep the cages close together so they can observe each other from the safety and security of their own cages. This will let them get to know each other. Sometimes the parakeets, as small as they are, can be territorial. Both species are similar in size, so I don't see a impending danger to either party, but separation is best at first.
Primarily, you want to make sure they don't transmit an illness to each other. Then, if they seem to hit it off, "while under supervision by you", then try and see how they work together for short periods of time. Sometimes some birds, no matter how big, can be really aggressive, you don't want to risk any injuries.
But I would not try and put them all together and hope for the best, you are risking a lot.
Best of luck!
green cheeked conures make great companions if spoiled correctly.

It is not advisible to put the conure in with the parakeets. The conure may kill them, as conures are territorial, and usually do not get along well with smaller birds.

You should introduce them slowly and not put them in the same cage . A green cheek could do real damage to a parakeet.
You should quarantine the green cheek in another room for awhile to be sure it isn't sick.

No way, dont even try it, conures are very aggressive territorial, conures cannot be kept with smaller birds such as cockatiels, parakeets, finches; conures also cannot mix different types of conures together my green cheek fights with my jenday my cockatiel is afraid of my conures and was almost attacked by my green cheek, no way.

I have had a green cheeked conure and a turquoise parakeet together for over three years and they are fine . I kept them in separate cages , side by side for a couple of weeks , then opened doors and let them go back and forth and them put them in same cage. They are fine together.

I WOULDN'T HOUSE THEM IN THE SAME CAGE. YOU MIGHT INTRODUCE THEM OUTSIDE OF THE CAGE IN NEUTRAL TERRITORY AS BOTH BREEDS ARE VERY TERRITORIAL. NEVER LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED TOGETHER OUTSIDE THE CAGE. AND ALSO REMEMBER THAT THE FIRST 4 WEEKS THE CONURE NEEDS TO BE IN QUARNTINE FOR THE KEETS HEALTH.

No, unless you've got a large avary where they can have there own area.
BIrds of diffrent sizes should not be kept in the same cage.
