That's a good question...
I was ponding this and I think it has to do with the way they grow up. Maybe his father/mother lied to him alot so he thought it was okay. Or maybe in the past he got positive results from lying.
Or maybe he's bored of his boring life so he has to make it more interesting by making up stories.

Some guys lie because they are insecure, and don't want to mess up what is really true to them. I think a lot of times as guys we feel more secure with what we have at home, but at the same time we go lie and cheat. Not realizing until after the situation is done, how it will affect you as a woman when you find out. Oh yeah! Most guys don't lie, just some. Besides you females got it bad with lying yourself, and yall are sneaky with it too :) Good Luck Shawty!

The same reason why all women love to be controlling... ;-p
Some men lie because you women take things so differently from us. Example:
A male gives a male a piece of gum and the reply is "thanks."
A male gives a female a piece of mint gum and the reply is "So you're saying my breath stinks!? Thanks, jerk!"
In other words; some men lie because it's easier than getting into another damn argument over something so meaningless.
However, some men are just jerks.

I don't know that many people "love" to lie...but both men and women lie...everything from white lies (telling someone they look nice when they do not) to serious lies, that could threaten jobs or relationships.
People typically lie to 1) spare someone's feelings (that's usually the case of a white lie) and 2) to save their own hide, or make themselves look better.

i dont know with them, but if you will ask me, i lie because i cant make that specified commitment real. also, i lie because i cant do things right away, also, to impress everyone
but i know that i am not doing the right thing. i should have told them that i cant do this and that i cant do that, rather than lie right away
i am responsible with all my actions, though
but as far as i can do, i refrain from telling lies

Think its because they want to tell you what they want to hear so that this way they can get what they want.
Or people lie because they think that the truth will hurt them more, but in the long run thats not true.

I think it's because a lot are cowards and they are afraid to deal with the consequences of the truth.
