man, if you could define the "flow of life" for me i'd be grateful.
there are nearly 6 Billion flows of lives in this world, all are completely different. You are responsible for your own actions, not the actions of others. You live your own life. If you feel yourself in a rut, do something to pre-occupy your mind. Don't waste all your good thoughts on your depressing thoughts. Do something constructive. Whether it be building a model ship to doing community service. Do the little things that break up the daily routine to make you happy.
We only get one shot at this life, it's too precious for us to meander around all day worrying about our inner-thoughts. Get up, get out, do something good, and do something out of the norm to keep your mind occupied with your happiness!

Sometimes I think the very nature of our physical bodies are prone to the caprice of emotions.
Like wind blowing our sails. We can set our course, but winds blow and can push us in directions we don't want to go. Non resistance does not always mean a person will be happy in all situations.

Force them to get married and have kids.
That'll depress anyone.
