I also had this happen a few years back...Now I don't have friends do it. Actually I now have straight hair. but it did turn my hair to mush. I had to just cut the fried part 5 -7 inches then start over again...ugh I feel for you!

Fryed how, curling iron or by heat?

Give yourself a hot oil treatment, get a trim as soon as possible, to not have breakage.
And follow up hair wash with a good leave in conditioner, one that protects and coats follicles of hair.

oh no! im so sorry :(. i've been thinking about perming mine for a long time, but fear of damage was the only reason i didn't... should i not either?
