They just seem to accept it as part of life rather than get caught up in our puritanical prudishness.

Because it is written in to jewish law and on the ketubah (kind of like a marriage contract) that it is ones of the man's jobs to satisfy his wife in bed, and she is to do the same for them. Also, the jewish culture does not look at it as something to be ashamed of or feel guilty about.

What are you talking about?
Where do you get your proof for such a statement??
have you recently been with a Jewish person and been dazzled by their performance?
Sex is a personal thing!!
It works or it doesn't work
Maybe your previous partners have found your performance pathetic and its just totally put them off the act!!
Think back to your other relationships and then maybe you might have the answer to your own question!!

I am Jewish and don't agree that Jewish people have a healthier attitude to sex. The writer saying they are supposed to have sex through a hole in the sheet, so as not to see the woman's body, is correct----for orthodox Jews. That hardly suggests a healthy attitude.
It is simply that Jewish people think non-Jews are sexy and Gentiles sometimes find Jews sexy, i.e. the grass is always greener and opposites often attract.
A healthy attitude to sex is usually determined by the way one is brought up, not by one's religion. If one's parents have a casual attitude to nudity and are not horribly repressed, one has every chance of growing up healthy in attitude.

The Jewish religion doesn't view sex as something animalistic, or degrading, based on lust, or something that you have to be ashamed of, but as something beautiful that a man and a wife have between them, something that connects them together.
Because there are so many restrictions, when a man and a wife finally get together as it should be, then they experience the most beautiful love that can be.

I think it's because Jewish people are encouraged to have many children and therefore having sex is a good thing.

I didn't know this. Are you sure you know what you're talking about? How can you make such a comparison? Is it based on facts or your own assumption?

Any person of any religion has some taboo beliefs when it comes to sex. Atheists/agnostics are more adventurous and the sex is so much better.

The more reform degrees of Judaism don't have the same regard for "sins" that most sects of the Christian faith do. We haven't had those carnal "do's and don'ts" embedded in our minds and consciences.
