I was watching I think face the nation on sunday and this senator came on he's a former Marine officer that served in Vietnam. He said there are limits as to what the military can do. I think he's right, we are trying to bring in a new government in Iraq. We are asking our military to be a police force something it's not trained to do.
I agree it's like Vietnam in that if we pull out the the insurgents will take control of the government. What's more all the lives that have been lost will be for nothing.

The US is getting a rear end beating? No, its the Iraqis who getting getting their asses kicked. Most of the bombing and attacks while been killing Iraqis. American soldiers more often then not are being killed by friendly fire and helicopter crashes due to flying into sand storms.

Obviusly you have no idea about America or whats going on..
We were winning Nam, We never lost a major battle, were dominating the communist loosing over 1,000,000 soldeirs when we lost under 60,000..The battle was lost by the Democrats telling the public through the Media that we were loosing the war..We signed a treaty w/ N. Nam that said ceasefire and that they wouldnt invade S. Nam..When we had 1/2 our troops back in America they started to invade again and we just said f@#$ it, were done and were not coming back to help again..
As for Iraq..We defeated their military and captured their leader..Now the murdering extremest are blowing up children and trying to kill our troops from behind their families..THAT is shameful

I remember when the Iraqis were supposed to be our friends and we were supposed to be their liberators. I hope we can get out of there without too many more lives lost on either side.
