12 Chairs is awesome--a very laidback, artsy place. It's located at the intersection of MacDougal and King streets, just south of Houston. Architecturally speaking, it's rare to have a T intersection in Manhattan and it's fun to sit by the window and look out.

The food is great--very sweet pancakes, fresh berries, omelettes, and creative salads. Everything is fresh and delicious. Not diner food by any means.
