i think feminism shares traits with apaartheid in South Africa.
In an effort to be as anti-apartheid as possible in SA it is now discriminating against white people to get jobs etc.

Nowadays it is easy for any masculanism or even equalinism (is that a word) to be construed as chauvanistic. E.g in the UK it is common place for women to not have to wear ties in the work place but men must wear ties... because they are men. Men can't protest that this is sexist- so what is it then?

My belief the focus should be on equality not feminism or masculanism (not sure if that is a word either btw ;))

my thoughts on feminism make it impossible to answer that question - I know it should not be action based because if there is no theory behind decisions made, how can you ever know your action is correct?

However, theory of feminism is an evolving beast and cannot be used as a basis for action with any certainty.

I think feminism should be a personal thing not a collective one. It is ever changing and different for each woman. It should not be, in this day and age, a political issue. Equality of sex, race and ability is all that is needed to be attained - not a seperate feminist movement. These days, I do not believe that is helpful or correct.

Those are only my thoughts of course and I know a lot of women will disagree.

I think feminism is very wrong and I think it's confusing to women, especially when it comes to the roles in the family.

Difficult one. I will discuss this with the little man when he has finished cleaning the toilet, after he put the children to bed, cooked dinner etc.
