Yuk...you know cold sores are a form of herbes. NEway there's no way to get rid of cold sore other than let it run it's course...but you can go to Walgreens and get some sort of stuff that will make it less painful.

put vitamin E on it. get gel caps and stick a pin in the end. squeeze the oil onto the cold sore and it will be gone in 2 days max! i promise this works.

Home remedies....Abreva and Carmex work great. Also, take the vitamin Lysine, 500 mg. Take 2 a day when you feel it coming on. Once gone, you can take 1 every day to help prevent them in the future. Also, if they are very severe you can ask your physician to prescribe a preventative.

Go to the store and buy some Abreva. It will cut the healing time in half or even in 3/4.

i found that putting an ice cube on the cold sore when it's still on the reddish stage (no pustules yet) helps retard its growth to oozy stage. keep it on the affected area till a normal size ice cube has totally melted. repeat if it feels itchy. i swear it works for me 100%.
