Well, I'm not too weirded out about the age difference, but I am weirded out by you going out of your way to see him when it is "his" duty to come to your rescue and initiate the interaction.
You duty is to inspire him to sweep you off your feet and take you away to never never land and have a swell time.
My advice is let him earn the right to be with you. If he cannot afford to train to you, that means he needs that college education so that he'll have the money to be able to with you.
I mean, if you go over there, something's going to happen because he'll know that you aren't just going across the country for a peck on the cheek, right?
Right, so, in I suggest you let him study and when he is on holiday, he can come and be with you. You do whatever you can to convince him to come to you. You have to be practical about that.
Besides, mum and dah will not like the idea of financing you going over there to be with him without their supervision.
Mum and Dah were your age once and because of this, they pretty much know what you'd do if you went over there by yourself to be with him.
Be patient and you study hard as well so that you can also go to college. There will plenty of time for "guy fun" when you get older.

seriously, think about it. a 18yr old ADULT male wants to DATE a 15yr old girl. HUMMMMMM
your parents can have him arrested if you even kiss. Is it worth it?
your parents gave you life and only want whats best for you, don't give up a family tie for some jack azz that is using you to eat off of.
he is also in uni, so he is going to be dating others.
your life is so much better without him, you are too young anyway, girl, focus on your education, not boys!

Melissa I don't believe there is anything you can say to your parents to let you go. You can ask them if your not sure what they would say But I think we bouth know what they will say. Your best bet is to contact you friend and tell him you won't be able to go and see what he says. I would try to remain friends with him but that's as far as you should go. I think you know that there is nothing that could become of this at this time but you never know what could happen in time. Just stay friends
