So whats your factor ?? Marines and all different militia are 'Human" like numerous different person...they sense and cry or maybe bleed on your stupid a__!! Don't believe everything you see on tv. Was this Marine really crying? Probably. But to assume that reflects every serviceman's outlook on the war would not be accurate. How do I know? Two combat tours in Iraq with the 1st Marine Division, with a third deployment coming up soon. I've missed the birth of my first child, and was unable to attend my Grandma's funeral. But I, like every other Marine I know, believe in what we're doing.
Every life lost is a tragedy, but the number of Americans killed in this war is NOTHING like Vietnam. Over 58,000 killed, over 300,000 wounded in Vietnam compared to under 2700 killed and under 20000 wounded in Iraq.
No one wants war, but the VAST majority of us fighting this one support the effort, and do not reflect the mentality put forth by the media.
