I meet this great guy a few months ago at the gym and we quickly became best buddies. I recently divorced lonely and looking for a new life and a few close friends. I have never experienced a gay relationship and my new bud states he is not gay as he dates women and so do I. However, the first few times he came by my apt.after a workout we had a few beers and then ended up having a great safe sexual experience which totally caught us both off guard. He was so tired the next day after work that he stopped by for a nap a back rub and weanted more fun. A few days later he came by and told me that we should just remain friends and that's all. I agreed as that was more important. But since then he came by again and we had fun again. "Wow you've got a real beer can on you dude" I've never heard that expression before. He states he wants to get married and have children but he seems to always have problems with relationships. I'm attracted to him but most impt. he is a good frd.

It sounds to me that you are in a "friends with benefits" relationship. You both fool around, but are ultimately friends and date others. However, you must be carerful in these relationships because one may want to take the relationship to the next level, like you, and the other may just be interested in fun with their friendship. If he just wants friends with benefits, then thats fine, just try not to catch feelings for him

Just let nature take it course. Don't push it. What happens will happen. A good friend usually last longer than a lover.
