The government does out of taxpayer funds collected by the IRS and deposited with the Treasury Department. The Executive Branch has a budget, and the President's salary is included in it somewhere.

From the President to the least known Senator, they are ALL paid by us tax-payers, and when they leave office, they go on drawing a salary until their death, also doled out of hard working tax-payers pockets.

The President receives his check every 2 weeks, just as any other Federal employee does, It is deposited into whatever account he chooses. These checks come from the US Treasury, as do all government checks. The funds come from the appropriate departments accounts.

The Federal Gov't pays the President his salary. and We pay the Federal Gov't with our Taxes. So we pay him to be our President. Good Luck ! :)
