What is the difference between a parsons chair and a slipper chair?

Some one with more precise knowledge may answer-- but I think the chair shape is the same-- but I think the slipper chair is upholstered and used in the bedroom whereas the parsons isn't upholstered and is used in the dining room or the hallway.
