Wendyshan,
I was actually watching a study on hangovers. This is the true rule you must follow. It states in order not to get super hungover..b/c regardless you will never wake up feeling perfect after a night of drinking. The key is to NOT MIX your drinks and you must stick to clear colored drinks...such as VODKA. Dark drinks tend to have way more sugar/carbs/sodium/ which can cause your tummy to feel upset. You must also drink a glass of water....Vodka/redbull....water...vodka/redbull.... THE KEY WORD IS WAAATER!! even if you dont want it... Before you go to bed you will crave CARBS!! eat as much carbs as possible...not to the point of throwing up b/c your so full but you get the drift. When you get to bed make sure your room is dark b/c obviously if you have a head ache if its loud/bright you will feel worse. Once your up take advil...water and eat alittle bit just alittle bit b/c your tummy is just getting use to being sober...if you eat alot you will throw it up....
V, (hope this helps) U DRUNK!! lol

Not drinking.
Actually, drinking lots of water is the best way to decrease the hangover effects of alcohol. A good portion of a hangover is simply due to dehydration.

I avoid one by drinking one tall glass of water for every alcoholic beverage I drink through the course of an evening. No hangover, ever!

1) don't drink at all
2) if you are going to drink...make sure you keep drinking water through the night....dehydration is what makes you have the hangover!
3) drink sake!!! you won't ever get a hangover from drinking sake because there's too much water...you can get hammered without having a hangover!

Alkaseltzer with aspirin ,water and sleep.
One time I ate burnt toast and some tomato juice, I was thinking the charcoal would absorb the poison , don't remember it working so well.
Best is to learn your limit and don't go over.

1) Don't over-drink
2) If you do, eat a small protein rich meal about an hour before bed (the proverbial 4 am eggs and toast breakfast at Denny's)

Pasta with tomato sauce - no cheese or meat, that's too greasy.
Drink water or tea with it.
You get your hydration and vitamin replenishment.
V8 works well, too, but don't add the vodka. Hair of the dog is murder.
