I'm not asking you whether you'd know it. I'm asking you *how* you'd know it.

You've never seen a photo or statue of the dude. And if Jesus were to return, since when would he have to look the same as he did long ago? He might have two heads now.
Maybe the earth will open up and swallow all the "evil doers," i.e., the disbelievers.
And king of Israel? Israel's about the size of New Jersey. We might as well worship the Governor of New Jersey.

Islamic description of Jesus (peace be upon him) is "... a man of medium height, reddish fair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from his head though it will not be wet"
Narrated Abu Hurayrah:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus (peace be upon him). He will descent (to the earth). When you see him, recognise him: a man of medium height, reddish fair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from his head though it will not be wet. He will fight for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist and will live on the earth for forty years and then he will die. The Muslims will pray over him. (Sunnan Abu Dawud 37:4310)

We will hear the trumpet. That will be the signal that we are about to meet the Lord in the clouds. Of course, this will all happen in the twinkling of an eye. The born again believer doesn't have to worry, God knows each of us.

Gabriel will sound the trumpet of God, and Jesus will shout, "Come up hither!"
Then, those which are dead in Christ will rise up (the graves will open, the seas will give up the dead, anywhere there is the body of a Christian that has died, it will rise up to meet the Lord in the air) then we which are alive and remain (and are Christians) will go up to meet them in the twinkling of an eye.
