There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

Loving someone is like knowing the person they are and loving who they are like i love alot of people but i am not in love with them, being "In Love" is wanting to be with that person , or them being on your mind all the time, the thought of them just brings a smile to your face everytime you think of the things you do together. It means that you have given them your heart and knowing the wont intentionally hurt you.

Loving someone is like how you love flowers or a puppy, but being in love is an exprience that is very hard to explain, you wake up with them on your mind, you always want to be around them, your day gets just a little bit brighter after you have talked to them, that's being in love.

Loving someone to me, means you can love your mother, sister, father, etc. In love with someone to me it means, being in love, that would be passionate and caring towards someone else, such as a girlfriend or wife, or in other cases your significant other.

You can grow to love someone. When you fall in love, it hits you like a ton of bricks, believe me you'll know it when it happens. And it's miserable.
