Aren't these principles much better than those contained in the "Ten Commandments"?:

The Jain ethical code is taken very seriously. Five vows are followed by both laity and monks/nuns. These are:

Nonviolence
Truth
Non-stealing
Chastity
Non-possession or Non-possessiveness

18 activities, called Päpsthänaks, that should be eradicated:

Violence
Untruth
Theft
Unchaste behaviour
Possesiveness
Anger
Arrogance
Greed
Deceit
Attachment
Hate
Arguing
Accusation
Gossip
Criticism
Prejudice and Dislikes
Malice
Wrong belief

Jainism also believes that every thing in the world has a soul. Many jains have starved themselves so that they would not harm, or be the reason for the harming, of another thing.

That looks like the "Cliff's Nopes" version of the Ten Commandments

The ten Comandments are not the only laws that christians follow..If you really read the bible there are more than ten laws..Just to bad that only ten made it to the big screen..All the laws above you can find in the the old testament.
