It is not bad to pray for the lost or those under evil influence. We are told to pray for our enemies...and that includes ANYONE who is seperated from God for what ever reason.

It all depends on who you are praying to and what the 'evil influence' is. You don't have enough details. Praying is very similar to casting a spell. You should really have the person's permission before praying for them. If the 'evil influence' is a religion of the other person's that is not your religion, than you need to mind your own business. You may have been taught that your religious path is the One True Faith which makes all others False and Paths to Damnation, but that is an extremist view of a fanatical cult. How can only one faith, out of the hundred of thousands that have existed on Earth, be the only valid path of primate spirituality? That's an extreme thing to think and act upon.

Most of the time it is. First, prayer makes it seem like you're doing something when you're not. Second, nobody is under an evil influence. Thirdly, this just seems like your attempt to tell everybody that you don't like someone.
As a whole, prayer is, at most, a placebo and, at worst, something that prevents people from doing real good in this world.

There is power in prayer, God will answer our prayers providing we have no iniquity in out heart, we pray with understanding that it is by God's grace our prayers are answered. Prayer is good and even better when more people come into agreement over the prayer. Keep praying and have faith as God is for us and not against us.

Prayer is never bad. Anyone who tells you otherwise is goofy.
Asking others to pray for someone is always good. Prayer puts us in His presense. We shouldn't be so lazy or afraid to go there.
Do not try to discern for yourself what might be influencing another.

Maybe because assuming that someone who simply has different beliefs than you is "under an evil influence" is presumptuous?
Oh and by the by, this is what I look like without the mask, since you wanted to know.

There is a difference between asking for prayers for some one and outright judging, which is what you do.

because your pushing ur beliefs on someone who doesnt hold them. (if i read this right) that would be like me saying im going to pray to zues for you because your evil. my friend made that comment to me, that hes going to pray to me cause im going against gods will and im a sinner. but apparently most people dont know how to look from someone elses view, so instead i will tell you that im prayign to zues that he spare your life and not smite you cause he doesnt like you.
however the action of prayign for them, and TELLING them your going to pray for them are a lil different. bible even says not to stand on the corner openly praying so that others may see, but instead do it in your house to have an actual communication with god. which is what should be, you shouldnt tell everyoen that they are evil and your going to pray for them, you should jsut do it.
