This is a serious inquiry please.

Sometimes I measure my world according to the things I know and in some way make it look like a circle in my head.

But the more I know about a certain topic, the more I can see into the concept or object being observed and it freates deep thought, but the thought changed my awareness to that of a daydream, and my focus was not on the physical earth.

So, the more I know, the more I can see but this creates a sense of space not measured by modern measurement devices.

I'm not an athesit but want to understand a sincere atheist response. Thanks peace

Those are good philosphical questions. Plato addressed them about 2300 years ago. Plato believed there was a separate realm where idealized forms exist. Before our birth we lived in that realm, and after our birth we don't remember it exactly but our intuition is still informed by our underlying familiarty with idealized forms.

When we think deeply we create abstractions in our minds that have no phyiscal form. Yet you and I can think the same abstractions. In some sense, we both created the thoughts, but in another sense, we each merely rediscovered something that already existed.

Are these abstract thoughts part of "this world"? I think the answer depends on how you define "this world". I think thought is part of this world, so yes, I consider all abstractions to be in this world.

p.s. I disbelieve the Hebrew Bible, which makes me an atheist in most peoples eyes.

I'm not really an atheist, but more of an agnostic. I was raised in the church, but every time I tried to question things, they told me that it was the devil tempting me & I had no faith. Also, I am a woman & religions treat women badly. I have seen dinosaur bones, primates taught to talk through sign language, we still have tail bones, etc.I believe what I can prove. Maybe there is a God who guided evolution. I don't know.

For a non-atheist you use too many words to get into the knowledge of the unknown. Spirituality is not attained by using words. Be fundamentalist, brain-washed, fanatic, bigot as other religious people. Words are for philosophers.

The educated person realizes that the more you learn, the less you know. It's the ignorant who think they've learned everything.

Note that the above statements have nothing to do with theism or atheism. They are solely about the issue of admitting ignorance (something the religious are less likely to do, however).

It sounds like you want to try to understand the world and reality through introspection. You will understand yourself better this way, but not reality or the world.

If I'm getting your point well, everybody experiences that, no matter what their religion. You're talking about spirituality, not about religion. And you know spirituality is not an aspect exclusive to religions.

We all "measure [our] world according to the things [we] know." Which is why religion makes no sense. How do you KNOW?

If you are going to claim to be an Atheist, PLEASE change your photo, it's from a film, based on a book, popular CHILDREN'S book and film that centers solely around the belief in God and RELIGION!
