The idea of left-handedness being bad is skewed from way back where people would traditionally wipe their butt using their left hand. Because it was always the same hand...it was considered dirty...so if you used it for things other than that, it was considered gross (no kidding!) Over time, this has come to be skewed, like most things, into a sign of the devil, or evil. This probably came from some over-zealous, religious nuts who were looking for signs for something.

Years ago if you used your left hand then you were considered "different" and anything different was thought to be the product of the devil. Of course we have learned that being different is something special and we encourage those differences. I have always heard that a left handed person is smarter than the average person. That's good to know.

I'm left handed, but I carry my devil sign in my right hand!! My left is to busy doing evrything else.

Have you paid attention to all the things that are the sign of the devil? JUST GIVE UP AND WRITE WITH YOUR LEFT HAND! GOD apparently does not care about genetics.

Yeah, I'm a lefty...and yeah, that's just a superstition...but even if the devil was a lefty too, so what? I'm sure there are some psycho murderers out there that are lefties too, but that doesn't change who I am.
I'm a lefty, and I'd like to think I'm a pretty decent person - and proud of it.

I was always told this, not that i write with my left hand, I'm right handed, and on that note i think it has something to do with God sitting on the right hand of his father, it's like everything good is on the right hand side.
