my mother loses or hides or keys and purse.I need a device that is sound activated that will beep or ring to help me locate the hidden object

Yep. It's a portable Clapper Device that will emit a beeping noise, when you clap your hands togtehr in range of your keys. Came out near 10 years ago, I think.

Just google key finder and you'll get lots of hits.

Make sure your mother's hearing is good enough to hear the beeps. We got one for my mom, whose hearing was going, and she couldn't hear the beeps!
