This should go away when you get used to it, but a lot of doctors say to just take it at night if it makes you drowsy.

No, it won't go away. By its mechanism of action Wellbutrin will cause drowsiness so don't go on a 10 hour road trip when taking it. Your body can, however, become desensitized to it and its overall effects (including drowsiness and anti-depressant activity) can decrease and an increase in dose will be necessary.

When i was on it, I was drowsy all the time, and also had very bad headaches. After a few days I just stopped taking it.

That is a very common side effect of many antidepressants, including Wellbutrin, that is why it is recommended you take it before bed. After a period of several weeks that side effect should become less intense as your body adjusts.

Strange...Are you on any other depression meds? My doctor perscribed me Wellbutrin to GIVE me energy that my other medication (Lexapro) takes away. Good luck--email me if u have any questions!

I believe this is an early on symptom that will pass as you develop a tolerance. Perhaps you could take it at night if it continues to make you sleepy.

You should eventually get use to it....if you do not there are other medications that you can take that are just effective.
