I just had a great first date with a woman I really like. We laughed a lot. How long should I wait till I ask her for a second date. I know she is interested because she gave me her work number because it is the best way to reach her during the day. By the way, the daisies were a huge hit- so thanks to those who suggested it.

Guess What!!!!
She just called me to tell me how much she appreciated the daisies because her coworkers are all gushing- So I said you're welcome. Then I said, I'd really like to see you again, what is your schedule like? That way she could easily say I will have to get back to you if she didn't want to go to soon. She said she has plans tonight but is free all weekend. I didn't ask what her plans are, I figure at this point its not my place. So we are going to the Arboretum tommorow! I am so excited I can't stand it. I feel like a nervous high school kid. Thanks for all the answers though, but I think this question is resolved!

I would have said wait 24 hours, but it seems to have worked out for you.
One final bit of advice- On the second date- bring a camera- she is bound to point out a favorite flower- Take her picture by it then you can give that to her as a gift later as a reminder of your second date. Plan ahead Mr. Romance, Sounds like you are on to something. Good luck- oh, also, a sly trick- when she gets up- give her a helping hand up and if she doesn't let go right away, you can then hold hands with her as you walk through the gardens. Glad you are doing better, I was a bit worried about you before you went on your little one week vacation.

I'm not much of a dater but I would guess 2-3 days AFTER the first date. When you call her talk for a few minutes and then casually throw in what are your plans for this weekend. Once she replies then say whatever it is you got.

Don't wait too long. She'll think you lost interest.
The best time to ask is at the end of the first date.
Say something like, "I had a great time. Would you like to go out again?"
If she gave you her work number, she's probably interested, so don't keep her waiting.
Good luck, man.

Being a woman myself... I guarantee that if she likes you then you can't call soon enough. Especially if she gave you her work number, this girl really wants you to be able to get a hold of her. She's not playing games so neither should you.

Since it is already Friday and she did give you her work number, chances are she expects you to call her today. She is probably waiting anxiously by the phone right this minute, while you are wasting your time on Q&A. CALL!

If you two hit it off that well, then ask her sooner than later. If she gave you her work number then she wants you to call her. Call her at work right now and ask her. It'll probably make her day.

I wouldn't wait too long. A week might be too much, but calling right after can be tacky. Try a full day, let it sink in.
