If it were me, I'd just paint it. No sense in trading it in unless you're unhappy with the car (not just the paint color). Check around and get some quotes from Auto body shops in your area to see what the cost would be. Then go from there...
Hope this helps, good luck!

I would say this would depend on a few things. Here are some questions to ask your self: Is your car dependable? Are you happy with the options your car came came with? Is the only thing that you are unhappy with is the paint? Are your current payments good in your budget? If you answered yes to all of these questions than I would go for the paint job. Since you have a Honda its a perfect opportunity to add some ground effects, and if you are not into that then at least you can get it painted the exact color you want. If you trade it off, unless you are going for new, you are never sure what the car has been through with the previous owner and you usually will find all of the options you want, but the color is not the greatest or vice versa. I would also invest in an alarm with a proximity sensor that will chirp and then alarm when those haters get too close to the paint.

Ok. The worst thing you can do to a car is change its' original color. Especially one being fairly new. This will depreciate the value, big time. Every car has a code sticker in it somewhere. And paint has it's own code. If the code doesn't match up, it will cause you problems in the future whether its, selling it, trading it, fixing body damage, whatever. It will never look right, and will be obvious that it had some work done. Painting a car isn't cheap either. If you want it done right, it will probably cost you around $2000, if not more. They will have to take all the body panels off, remove the factory paint, prep it, prime it, paint it, dry it. Expect that to take atleast a week. You're better off using the money that you will need to repaint it and put in on a down payment on a vehicle that is the color that you want. Why didn't you get that color in the first place?

You should keep the car if it is in good running condition. I am sure if you have only been paying on it for a year, that you still own some amount on the car. Is that amount more than what the car is worth? Or is it worth more than what you owe? If you owe less than what the car is worth + the cost of painting it, then you may be better off trading it in on a car that you like. If you owe more than what the car is worth, it would be more cost effective in the long run just to have it painted a color that you like. I hope this helps you.

The 03 Honda is a cute car. I'd paint it. It would cost alot less then a monthly payment on another car. Why would you want to start that all over again, when you can just go get a nice paint job!
Good Luck :-)

You've only been paying on it for a year. Its all ready depreciating so why not. Just find a another 03 in the color you want. You'll be surprised. Your payment might even be lower. When trading be careful of hidden fee's and take someone that knows about selling cars.

I come from a kinfolk that has owned 12 Mitsus (such as 2 myself). Get a Honda. The Eclipse will be more low-cost to fix than an S2000 because of the particular undeniable reality that the S2000 is more advantageous of an unique vehicle, even with the indisputable fact that the Eclipse will desire upkeep achieved more advantageous than the S2000. I consider Mark I, get a Civic. outdoors the S2000, different Hondas are fairly low value to fix.

I don't like maroon or burgundy colors, but I seems to be stuck with them, because I have had 2 excellent cars with that color. They were good deals and I still have the Escort, excellent cheap car.
If the car is good, deal with it. I have to tell you that I prefer to see scratches in a car, than fresh paint, because you think that there has been in an accident or it was used for races.

If you paint it and expect it to look like a new car, you will be disappointed. Paint is really not that important. Is the car in good working condition? Do you like it? If so, save you money for the day that you really will have to buy another car.

To paint it should be $800-$1,000.
I say if you like the car, and would like to keep it, have it painted. I think that if it would be cheaper to trade it in than to paint it, or you could trade it in for something you like better, than that would be the way to go. Otherwise, I say paint it.
