They should never have been invented. People got along fine for centuries without them.

Well!!
I am important. If someone calls, I will answer if I want to. You have the right to leave. I bet you are one of those people that get mad when something is on tv you don't agree with and tell everyone about it on you corded phone instead of turning the channel. I can't apologize if your not important and get ignored. Your obviously jealous, because you can't do two or more things at once like talk on a cell phone and walk. You only see red no matter what the circumstance is when someone is on the cell phone. Don't worry, I will be calling all my cell phone sisters and brothers to be on the look for you so that they can talk louder on their cell phones. Bru ha ha (touching my wiggly fingers together...and talking on a cell phone)!!

We live in a world with a lot of self-absorbed people: their needs are more important than anyone else's. I'm right there with you on being fed up but I think it's gotten a lot better than say 6-8 years ago. It was nonstop cell phone action in restaurants.
Had a friend that would only call me when she was doing something else. We're not friends anymore and one of the reasons why is because she never made time for me -- her use of the cell phone to call me when it was convenient for her (as opposed to setting some time aside for me) was just one symptom of her lack of respect for our friendship.
My husband and I were out a couple of weeks ago and this woman was literally yelling on the phone. Not pissed at the person, that seemed to be her normal volume. We were in the bar area of the restaurant and it was fairly empty and quiet. Servers were coming from the dining area telling the bartender that customers were complaining. The mgr even came out at one point to listen to it but NONE of them said anything. I finally went up to her because I couldn't even hear myself think and asked her to keep her conversation down.
She ended up leaving disgusted and insulted. Too bad.

i imagine that's fairly rude to attempt this at the same time as on the money sign in and also even if or not they are not on a telephone yet are having a head to head communique and are conserving up the line. I hate it at the same time as it truly is on the telephone because the cashier ought to desire to seek for suggestion from with you or ask a question and the guy is yapping away on their telephone. also interior the vehicle because they could get sidetracked and performance an twist of destiny.

I have my cell with me all the time, but I don't talk on it constantly. If I get a call while I'm driving, I ignore it and check it when I've parked. When I walk, I walk by myself. I take my cell with me in case I trip and sprain my ankle or encounter any other danger. I, too, am annoyed by the people who are always talking. My guess is they want everyone to see how popular and important they are by constantly being on their phones.

uh, this question's a lot ruder than the people wit cell phones.
if u dont wanna hear my conversation while ur eating, then leave the restaurant, or mind ur own business n stop listening.
i agree wit u on the car thing. if sumone's gonna talk on the phone, they should use loudspeaker.
n grocery shopping takes longer than 30 minutes, n yeah, i like talkin on the phone when im out. once again, if u dont like it, GO TO A DIFFERENT AISLE, or stop listening!
i have every right to bring my phone when im walkin around the block. if u dont wanna see me, hear me, or watever on the phone, then go in ur house or just ignore it.
so shutup u hermit, socializing wit people isnt that horrible.

I agree. I was behind a person at a red light. When it turned green, they still didn't go. I tapped my horn & they looked in the rearview mirror at me, & then the light turned red again. Also annoying at a movie, etc. They say there are as many accidents with folks on cell phones as the ones who are drinking.

AGREE!-
I think we'll soon see legislation on the driving front, although as a Libertarian I hate to see it come to that. I almost get creamed by people on a daily basis, and about 9 out of 10 times when I look over they are yapping away. Falls under the catagory of safety/respecting others and their rights.

Insecure people out there still think that having a cell phone is a status symbol that makes them cool and makes them appear popular. These people are rude losers, but unfortunately we can't get rid of them 'cause they're a dime a dozen.

I agree with you. I often wonder how people managed before mobile phones were invented. They are useful, and good in emergencies, but must people use them so inconsiderately? I particularly hate them being used on the bus. I often hear five or six people shouting into their phones, often in a foreign language, on the bus and I really don't like it. Also, it is illegal to hold a phone to your ear while driving, yet I still see many people doing that.
