President Bush was that answer to my prayer at his innaugeration. He isn't ashamed of the name of His Lord.

Also, a military person was legally accused for praying in Jesus name, and President Bush said that He believes chaplains should be able to pray as they believe. He let the military handle the legal matters though.

No-one is ashamed of Jesus.

They just believe different things about him.

I think even Jewish and Muslim religions recognize him as a great man.

Doesn't it belittle him to say he was the son of God.
If he was truly the son of God then everything he did was easy and dieing at the end was no biggy.

Jesus's achievements were only of note if he wasn't a deity and if what he was truly trying to say was that we are all the children of God, all the people of earth, himself included and that we should be as brothers and sisters.

Jesus wasn't a Christian, he never even hints at setting up the bureacracy that is Christianity. He also rejected Jewish leaders restrictions. So he was the first documented non-religious (agnostic?) person.

I think the biggest tragedy of the last 2000 years is that this influential man's message has been distorted into lets kill, convert, destroy anything that isn't Christian. Which is the complete opposite of what it is so obvious (to me) that he wanted.

(ontario_ashley...I agree, religion is for your own morality and should NEVER be the basis of action in real-life).

I prayed for George Bush to actually get to know Jesus bcuz he says that he has a relationship with God but you cannot see that in him. So I pray that he truely comes to know God and stop trying to act like he is God.

I pray that people like you are never in any position of power. This is a secular country, where lawmakers are supposed to leave their religion at home/church where it belongs. NOT in our parliament buildings, schools, etc.

Probably. Why bother asking questions you already know the answer to.
