I haven't heard of someone only being born with a single toe on their foot, but if they have it's just a birth defect. In the womb that foot just didn't develop like it was supposed too.

I have heard of people being born missing toes though.

It seems to happen frequently with fibular hemimelia, where the fibula is short, small or missing. If that is the case, one leg will likely be shorter than the other, and the Achilles tendon will likely be shortened, resulting in the extreme pointing of the toe(s) of the affected foot.

Sometimes merely putting a specialized cast on the affected foot/leg helps immensely, but surgical correction may well be necessary, and possibly leg lengthening procedures.

Well I have seen in the guiness record book for people with more toes and I have heard of people being born with fewer toes so I truly believe it is possible to be born with just one.

Yes. I have also met people with only one giant finger on one hand. **** happens. *shrug* They're the same as anybody else, there was just some miscoding in their cells somewhere.
