Hey, it's up to you and your color scheme!
Most folks paint them to match the walls, but some paint them and all the window, door frames, etc. a different color. I've been in homes where the baseboards were left natural; that way when they change the wall color they don't have to repaint them.
What's your preference?

Most interior decorators tend to go with white for the baseboards =unless= the baseboards are high quality oak or other wood that looks better left natural.
If you take a look at some of the major paint companies (Behr, Dutch Boy, etc..) they have websites that let you play around with paint charts and create different colors on walls & trim..

White baseboards look crisp. They emphasize the lines of the room and provide contrast for whatever wall coverings or coating you have.
But sometimes you want a mono-chomatic look. If you want the baseboards to match the walls, you should do the baseboards in a paint that has some gloss so it's easier to clean and looks finished. Don't just use the wall paint.

we painted our baseboards the same color as the walls and now I wished we didnt. It makes the room look to plain. I would paint the baseboards and trim white. but that is just my opinion :)

I personally think that leaving your baseboards white makes your wall color stand out more, but not a dingy white.

as somebody who has been portray professionally for extra or less 30 years, i could notably recommend utilising an OIL based paint on the trim. no longer something stands up on trim extra constructive than OIL. satin or eggshell latex on the partitions. very just about all the trim i paint is white. evidently crisp, clean and makes the woodwork stand out.

Oprahs decorator, Nate, advised that he always has trim done in white. I tried it and like the way it looks in my place.
