Well, do you know what cuisine she likes? Take her to a little place, nothing fancy (but not fast food!). A place where you can enjoy dinner and talk. Pull the chair out for her, open the car door for her. Be a gentleman. And laugh and have fun at dinner. Little indie places are best.

I say do not go to a chain (red lobster, etc.)
It will be good food, but crowded and noisy. I used to have a place called the Collosseum (New Hampshire)
The name does not matter..
The waiters were "right off the boat" -sounding like they just came from Italy this week. Look for intimate, look for atmosphere..bistros, etc. Find her favorite type of food and try the local snob magazine (Best of Boston...etc.)
She will be happy to actually hear you talk and you can listen to her. Pick a nice red wine and you're good to go.

Spend a little extra money and go to a resturaunt that is reservations only. Not one where you have to wear a jacket, but upscale all the same. It will cost more, but it will be well worth it. You can both dress up and eat great food. Make the dinner the date. It has always worked well for me. Good luck!

her choice, not some place where they serve sloppy food. But to be honest it doesn't matter. If you are going to stay together forever, then you need to pick some place romantic. Spend some cash. she will tell her friends.

red lobster is too expensive for you. go for mcdonalds, and if your girl is looking sad at your choice of resturant....get her a happy meal
