Of course not, it's rice, chicken, hot sauce and salad which is actually recommended in your diet because hot sauce actually helps burn fat quicker.
# unless you have a KORMA with the creamy sauce and pilau rice....now that IS fattening...just stick with your ol' Byriani!

It depends whether you are cooking it yourself or getting a takeaway.
If you cook it yourself and don't use too much oil - then the answer would be - there are less fattenting meals - e.g. Chicken Tikka or Chicken Tandoori

If it's takeaway or restaurant then it absolutely is fattening - cooked in lots of oil. No cream, but the oil is just as bad. It can be as much as one day's allowance if you're on weight watchers!

I used to have the Tikka and avoid the nan bread, popodoms are ok if you microwave them, but they don't taste the same. I have a recipe for a lovely curry from weight watchers:
Fry an onion in 1 tsp oil
add 1 garlic clove crushed and 1 tsp grated ginger & fry.
Add 1 chicken breast and cook until coloured. Add 1 tbsp curry powder and fry for 2-3 minutes, add a little hot water from kettle until mix thickens. Throw in some coriander until it wilts. Just before you serve, take off he heat and add low fat yogurt and stir until combined. Serve over basmati rice and a sprinkling of coriander. Lovely! Even my kids eat it!

It depends a lot on how the biryani has been cooked. More often than not, for biyani to be really tasty, there is a lot of oil involved. The simple answer to your question would be, yes it is fattening, but a well made biryani is totally worth it. Indulge, but rarely :)

A slightly healthier option may be tandoori chicken, which does not have gravy, is made in an oven and can be prepared without much oil - hence better for you. Enjoy!

The most natural and healthy diet for humans is an omnivorous diet, and not a plant based diet, or a meat-based diet per se. The Paleo Diet can be very widely varied and omnivorous for the most part, but the most important thing is that it’s unprocessed, and avoids the worst foods that agriculture brought mankind… refined inflammatory vegetable oils, refined grains (some are worse than others), and sugar! Learn here https://tr.im/8PnB9

As you can see, the benefits of adopting a Paleo way of eating can be incredible! I’ve been eating 95% Paleo for the last 5-6 years and I’ve never felt better. I have dozens of friends that have adopted a more Paleo way of eating too, and have seen all sorts of health problems disappear, including eliminating acne and other skin problems, digestion problems, improving brain clarity, and of course, losing a lot of body fat!

Biriyani in Persian means fried. Why not try some Chicken Tikka with some salad and a Nan without ghee. This has a lower amount of fat.

The chicken biriyani I've had has cream in the sauce, so I imagine it's slightly fattening. I think with most recipes, there are many versions of it, so some cooks probably omit the cream, or subsitiute with something less fattening (milk, perhaps).
