There's a couple that I have found...

JVC - HD52G886 ($999.99)

Toshiba - 52HM84 ($989.99)

The above has been found by doing a
basic search. If you do an extensive
internet search, I'm sure you will find
additional models for under $1,000.00.

Swanni: Big-Screen HDTVs for
Under $500 in 2006
The TV analyst says rear-projection TV makers will drop prices to keep pace with flat-screen sets.
Special to TVPredictions.com

Washington, D.C. (Dec. 24, 2005) -- How would you like to have a 52-inch HDTV for less than $500?

Well, just wait until the 2006 holidays, says Phillip Swann, aka 'Swanni,' and the president of TVPredictions.com. The TV futurist predicts that the price of a big-screen, rear-projection HDTV will drop dramatically over the 12 months.

"In December 2006, I believe you'll see 'Enhanced-Definition Plasma TVs for under $1,000 and 42-inch Plasma HDTV-ready sets available for $1299, perhaps lower," Swanni says. "So to keep sales healthy, rear projection HDTV makers will be forced to lower prices for big-screen sets to under $500. For instance, a 52-inch HDTV-ready set is available now in some stores for $899, but next year it will be $499, or lower."
