because when the dog licks me...i lick back. but is only natual affection. what yall think???

Okay I let my dog lick me too, but I have to agree with your wife on this. Do you have any idea how many germs are in a dogs mouth? Or maybe I should ask if you know how many germs are in a dog's butt, because his tongue is what he uses to clean said butt. They say that a dog's mouth is extremely clean, but what they don't say is that is by animal standards, not human standards.

I kiss my doggie back too, but not usually with my tongue. I always make sure that she hasn't just licked any of her "parts" just before as well. LOL
Next time you want to kiss your doggie back brush her teeth first. Then you can tell your wife that the dog's mouth is very clean, fresh and minty!!!

i used to let our boxer puppy ( now 2 years old) lick me on my face ( not lips) when he was so young. he got used to it( not to my husband but he would lick me on my cheek) but i have noticed a rash on my cheek and i knew it was him and i stopped him lickin me. he doesnt do it anymore and now i know dogs mouth are very very bad 4 us...i just thot before it was cute when he was a small little puppy..now when we want to show affectoin i kiss my dog on the forehead...i think it is nice and i think he likes it. my husband shows his love to him by wrestling with him..they both love it too much..so find a way to show your affection without that tounge anywhere near you..trust me it is not a good idea no matter how cute it is...

Dude...its gross and bad for you too...not healthy at all...its ok to love your dog but not "ok" to "love' your dog you know??? You dont sniff his butt like a dog too ..right?? Im a dog lover and have had many, many dogs but you cant expect to show your affection this way ?

Your dog loves you, when he licks you say "Hey (wife's name)" he likes me, take him see how much he likes you too! Keep your tongue in your mouth, rub his tummy and both of you enjoy your pet.
