They continued after 2 lots of cauterisation and when I went to my GP she said it could be a virus, and could stop as quick as they started, When I thought about it we had had Chicken pox at work with both staff and children, guess what I got, No not Chicken pox but a blooming great cold sore unger my nose, which has left a big scar, so it was a virus and when the cold sore came they stopped. so thanks to you all who answered the first time but now we have another possibility for the cause of nosebleeds.

Well, a cold sore is a variety of the herpes virus which is also related to chicken pox. Isn't coldsores Zygote and chicken pox Zoster. Or it may be the other way around but related never the less. so that makes sense.
