When you get married there is a legal standpoint you don't have with a GF. However, as far as the relationship is concerned there should be no difference. Just because you have a piece of paper that says your married does not mean the relationship changes.

So.. the relationship takes on a form of legality to it. Where a girlfriend is just the current person you are dating/sleeping with and is most likely not the same person you will be dating/sleeping with next year.

There is no legal attachment with having a girlfriend and with a wife u have that and if it dont work out there is wife alimony to be paid.

You can sleep with both, both nags, both farts... You don't have to spend 24/7 with the gf, but you would have to spend 24/7 with the wife. I can't say that one will love you unconditionally because people change their feelings toward one another..
