Table -> Sort

Highlight your info, then click Table at the top go down to Sort A-Z and you can select which way, this is also handy for numbers in case you have data that is not in numerical order and needs to be. I love this feature because for some reaason everybody waits months to turn in receipt and it's easier just to enter and then go through and sort by date later.

Highlight the words or column
Select Table, sort
select ascending or descending
Click ok

Anything more complex, copy it to excel, sort it then copy it back to work.

copy it to excel, sort it then copy it back to work. Or convert the data to a table in word, then sort, then convert back to text.
