That is one of the best things about giving your life to Christ, he is in control, not us. I have been filled with such peace since. Why do you worry? That seems a bit silly. Can your worry control the situation? NO Can God control everything, OF COURSE! You have to let go, why would you hold on to something as unpleasant as worry. When we are broke we worry, we we are un sure we worry. It does not make sense. God is in control and he loves us and want us to be happy, if things are not great here in this life there is always eternity and Christ's return to look forward to.

This is what I did, which eliminated worry from my life.

Whenever I had an anxious thought, a worrisome thought, I asked God that he (a) relieve me of the thought and (b) allow me to see that he is in control and that there is no reason for worry.

When I asked God's help, he--of course--began to help me. Over time, I came to worry much less, and now I just don't worry at all.

Worry is a form of future prediction. I asked myself, "Do I know the future?" No, I don't. If I think I do, why is it that I'm frequently predicting it to be awful? Do I not know that this is God's world, and that he provides me with all I need? Have I lived thus far, even though I worried that this thing or that thing would sink me? Yes, I have lived thus far--and I am fine. So why the worry?

Fear is lack of faith, yes. I also asked God to increase my faith. I did this daily.

I read this, from the Gospel of Matthew, frequently, too:

Do Not Worry
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

When I find myself worrying I say a scripture over and over to myself. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which supasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6

To answer the question, you can have a strong faith in anything, but if you aren't trusting God, I don't think it's going to get you anywhere except for maybe some false hope.
