A "boast" can be exact truth or a huge lie.
Usually, someone boasting is telling the truth - just doing a big brag so that everyone knows about it.
A lie, obviously, is not a truth. Rarely (I'm not saying this will *never* happen) will a person lie in a boastful manner.

In the eyes of God there is no difference. However boasting is more into embellishing, and making the truth look even better. Lieing is just telling something that is totally wrong to start out with.

A lie is opposite of truth; the problem is when alot of people brag/boast they end up lying also, because the truth is turned into a whopper(lie)

Boasting is where you say "i'm the best at everything...i can do this and that..." its all about me,me,me.
Lieing is when lets say your mother asks where were you last night and you say i was at a friends house but really you were at a club and drinking

Being boastful is kinda like bragging to the extreme of something particularly precious to you.
Lying is just not telling the truth.

Boasting is not necessarily lying. Boasting is 'tooting your own horn', a.k.a. bragging.
Boasting is a sign of insecurity. Lying is a means to an end.

Those aren't even remotely close. Boasting is talking about things you have done that personally consider to be achievements, lying is saying something that isn't true.
