If you can't change the Government through the laws and Constitution provided I do think a coup is needed. But at least it was a bloodless one. If there had been fighting it would have played out differently. Just as a note The United States is far from doing that at this moment in time

YES the previous government was corrupt! the thai general said they would hold free elections in october. he does not plan on ruling the country. i think he is very noble to not do so. many people who stage a coup would probably have tried to rule for a long time.

It is totally right as it is purely a business, not relating to any far-fetched wordings of patriotism, righteous fighting against corruption, no-bloody revolution, or the like. A working PM wanted to buy an English football club rather than make any investment in his country's education. His pockets were all full, and he could hardly walk but trudge. It is natural somebody or something would overtake him. Totally fair business.

Don't forget that the military's primary duty is to the country they serve in, not just the government.

If the government of persons therein decides to go against the constitution by holding on to their seats of power, that implies that such persons or government officials are only interested in their own benefits & not that of the country.

Unfortunately, sometimes the only way to bring down a crooked politician or leader is by force. Thankfully, it is bloodless in the case of Thailand.

Yes. They apologized, and a new election will happen soon, but the PM was an arrogant multi-millionaire, and just because he was elected democratically doesn't mean the country should have to take his crap for years to come....its the 18th coup since the 1940's in Thailand.....its their country....let's all just respect that....

this the Thai style.
nothing to be worried about this.
Thai people like their King, so if King allow, they will allow too.
no question arrise wheather the coup leade is Muslim.
in a sense, this is good, cos ousted prime minister and his cabinet was full of corruption so far we come to know.
let Thai people think about themselves.
