It's important to reminf us that there are no 'better' people, we are all the same. We are born condemned and miserable, and there is nothing we can do to help ourselves. Some people, though, like some religious leaders (in all religions), think they are a link between ordinary men and God. These ones are in an even worse state maybe, because they can't recognise they are frail like everyone else. The only way to be 'unbound from the chains of death' is repenting our sinful condition and asking for The Lord's help.

all that call upon the name of the lord will not be saved, only those that do my fathers will, jesus said, of course we all have fallen short, we wont get a ticket to heaven by just beleveing something, though. jesus came mostly to teach us HOW to get to heaven by doing gods will this, comes only thru listening to the very quiet voice of god, thru his spirit, which jesus said he would leave us, he is in heaven with his father, we must pray and ask gods direction in our lives, and do gods will. are we will not make it to heaven,
