Hi everyone!
So I'm invited to a small get-together next weekend (like 15 people or less).
I wanted to bring something to drink cause, you know, I'd feel bad going there empty-handed.
The thing is, most of my friends don't particularly like regular beer.
So I'd like to buy another alcoholic thing to drink that is not way too expensive.
Ideas everybody?!

When I was a hard-up student I used to go into the supermarket and make the following calculation. Divide the % of "alcohol by volume" (ABV) by 100 then multiply by the volume in the bottle and divide by the price. Compare the answers for various drinks and the one with the highest score will give you the most alcohol for your money. I seem to remember that sparkling cider used to score quite well.

Wine coolers would work. I have gone to several social gatherings like that in the past several months and for some reason Seagram's Bahama Mamma is a very popular flavor for both men and women.

A bottle of wine is a very appropriate gift to present to the host for sharing with guests. Get one or two bottles of $10 wines. I would suggest wines from Argentina, as they are very good.

Where do you live?

Cider is available in England and France. There are two sorts, the fizzy keg cider or the traditional cider in casks and sold in the best pubs.

Search Thatchers cider for traditional. The fizzy stuff makes me burb and wine is better if proper cider is not available.

Why don't you make something? I'm loving Sangria right now. It's easy to make ahead of time and very pretty with the fruit floating in it! Everyone will think you're a domestic goddess!
