He probably likes you more than he can say and expresses it this "wrong" way. Just confront him with it and chances are that he stops doing it. Especially when you take in account that he likes you, which often translates in willingness to fulfill the wishes of the other. If that doesn't work, do worry and show him how mad he's got you!
