Take two pieces of bread and butter one side of each. Get a skillet and heat it to medium high heat. Put the first peace of bread in buttered side to the skillet. Put your cheese on the more the better. Add the second piece butter side up. Take a spatula and turn it when the bottom of the first piece is toasted and brown in the pan. Toast the otherside until it is the same. Pull that bad boy out and plate it up and chow down. I prefer velvetta slices the best. For something extra special make a can of tomato soap and use milk instead of water and dunktakate the toasted cheese bread in it. Now that's good eating bud!!

I toast the bread in the toaster, grade sharp, and monitory jack together butter one side of the toast sprinkle cheese all over the butter pop into microwave for 15 sec or until cheese is milted then enjoy. You can top the milted cheese with another piece of toast to make a sandwich. This is the best cheese toast I have ever had.

The bestest ever cheese on toast is a mixture of grated red leicester & farmhouse cheddar. Toast the bread lightly in the toaster add the grated cheese put under grill until half melted then a couple of dashes of worcester sauce on top, return to grill. When cheese fully melted spread a little butter on top and then go to heaven YUMMMMY

Put your piece of bread under the grill, slightly toast one side, then take out, then butter the uncooked side, put your cheese grated or sliced, as long as the cheese is piled up more in the middle, as cheese melts and slides towards the corners/crust. Put a shake of peper, a little salt. Grill untill the the cheese that bubbles is brown, take out and enjoy! If you like tomatoes, put these on after the cheese, or try sweet pepers, Red Orange finely chopped and sprinkled on top, and then grill. The secret is in toasting the one side lightly enough so that it all comes out crispy.

Try this, its so easy.....

Make two pieces of toast, then butter them, while you are buttering the toast, put a small 'chunk' of cheese into the microwave for about 15 to 20 seconds and when it has melted, pour it onto the buttered toast. Shake some pepper on to the cheese or a splash of Worcester Sauce and boy are you going to enjoy it.

There is no secret. Nor is cheese on toast great, it's just a comforting thing when the cold weather sets in.

Should be served with brown sauce though ...

It all comes down to what tastes you personally like.
To answer your question, I believe the secret, is complementing a variety of flavors.

*I use Texas Bread (You Know, The Thick Bread Slices)
*Spread Herb Butter on both sides, and grill the bread in a pan, until golden brown on both sides.
*Remove the slices to a oven proof dish
*Sprinkle 3 Cheese Over Top: *Cheddar *Sharp Colby *Monterey Jack
*Bake 6 to 8 Minutes in 400 degree oven, until the edges begin to turn brown.
*Then put under Broiler, about (1) Minute, continually watching, this will give that pretty brown color. Don't overcook.
Thats it...
(PS) Some folks like a Garlic Rub &/or Onion Flavor as well.

As little butter on the toast as you can get away with and more cheese than you think you really need. I make mine in a sandwich press so I don't butter the bread at all, it's just toast and melted cheese (sometimes bacon is good on it too, or tomatoes.)

I toast my bread in the toaster then take it out and spread a little flora spread and top with lots of thick cheeder cheese and either Lee & Perrins Worchestershire sauce or mild Chilli powder. Then it goes under a hot grill till melted and bubbling.
Also it tasts good when you put tuna then cheese or ham then cheese. Mmmmm Yum.
