I have a close friend who is just being a father recently. But he is very unsure if the baby is his. They got married cuz of the baby. Also at that time his wife was seeing other man. His wife never really provides good answer for that. In other words, she maybe not sure herself. I believe that checking blood type is the normal way, but what if the other guy has the same blood type as the father. Then, it might be useless by checking blood type. checking DNA is out of question cuz it's way too expensive for them. Is it other way? They really dunno what is the other guy blood type. He has gone nowhere to be found. Thanks for giving help.

DNA testing is out of question cuz they are living way way far from States. No such technological advance there. He just told me from a phone call. I was just trying to help him as well but i myself a broke man n confused. I guess i just advise him to keep the baby considering moral issue. May the God blesses him the right one.

DNA is the only way

Paternity is the only way....there are places you can put a 100 down and make payments and when it's paid off you get the results. Look online there's tons. Also there are cheap tests you can order online but they cannot be used in court. My friend did that, and it's accurate, just if anything legal needs to be done i would suggest paying full price.

Blood type has nothing to do with DNA...they are completely different.

The baby definitely is from the real father, we just don't know who that is.
The only definitive way is through DNA testing, but if that's not an option, then a blood test is next best, until the child matures a little, and may then exhibit some physical characteristics that will make his lineage clearer.

DNA test is the best. I had the same question. Cost $ 115.00. Forget the
name but those companies are all over the web. I had a nagging question
for 10 years. Anybody can save up $115.00 if they try. The mother need not
know anything at all. It's a little saliva swab between the baby and father.

Can you please do me (and society) a favor? Please impress upon your friend that it does not matter if his blood runs through that child's veins! He accepted responsibility. He is the father. How could anyone abandon a child after all that? It's too late to even ask the question.

I have (had) a brother who died last year of a brain tumor. My father was married to his mother before mine. His wife apparently cheated on him because my brother was obviously mixed race while his "parents" were both white. Do you know that, until I was 20 years old, I didn't even notice the difference of my brother's skin color? It honestly slipped by me for that long! It was a topic that my father addressed with my brother in private, at my brother's request. It was a non-issue. No one cared. The topic never even came up with family and friends. My father stayed by his side until the day he passed away and led his funeral service like the patriarch and pillar of stregth that he is. He is a good man. Blood doesn't matter.

Did the girl get a conception date from the doctor when she was pregnant? An ultrasound can tell you within 3 days of what the conception date was (the date of intercourse). If it is very close to when the possible father had intercourse then it would be in his best interest to play the father role until they can afford a paternity test. I am sure the baby is easy to love regardless of it's paternity.

A blood test can only rule someone out. Not confirm parentage. DNA tests are less than $200. He will be paying much more than that if he has to support someone else's offspring for 18 years.

DNA is the best way to go & they might want to check with their local Department of Human Services sometimes you can get them done there for alot less than a private practice ... my brother got his done for like $99 & he found out 99.999% he was the father needless to say he was happy , but I would ask the DHS & maybe they can tell them who to talk to

Go to the attorney general and demand a paternity test. DNA is the only way to find out 100%.

it has nothing to do with blood type.. it has to do with DNA... and basically that is the ONLY way to find out who the real father is... They should call around, or go to planned paretnhood.. they might give some recommendations to somewhere inexpensive
