First , any parent should count their blessings to have a daughter like you. You can support your dad by letting him know that you are concerned that he is burning the candle at both ends and that you are worried about his physical and emotional health and that he may become ill from stress. Have a sit down discussion together to address the concern and I am sure your dad will appreciate your love and concern and you both will be able to maybe come up with some ideas on how to lighten his daily burden..Maybe he is just biting off too much to do...I wish you both peace and happiness. It is completely understandable that you are concerned about your dad's stress because you care about him.
And sometimes we can't do much about somebody else's stress except not become an additional stressor for him. Be supportive of the sacrifices he is making especially if he goes through the ******** partly to support you and his family. Your support and being understanding will go a long way to help him deal with his world.

You cannot control how your dad chooses to react to the stress-inducing factors in his life. You can, however, talk to him about them and ask him how you can help. Just knowing that you care so much will be great! You can also try rubbing his shoulders, or just giving him a big hug.

ok.....
now listen please .
it is not a nice experience to witness someone elses stress...especially a parent which we may not see usually and have better intentions for.....
here is a way for you to get some relief...
say to your father that it makes you uncomfortable to see him in the way which is discomforting and say to him you would like to somehow be accomodating for a more meaningful and pleasant father-daughter relationship...
table the request to share insight of how each of you may co-operate for joyful events....
let the purpose for coming together be for love and create conditions which make this possible....but share this with him ... let him share with you.
agree on the purpose if it is possible and let it be fun to create...as a discovery rather than as an obligation.
good luck and be well

Just do your best to keep him smiling. And do something special when he does come home. Examples...............take him out for supper, breakfast in bed, take in a sporting event if time permits, but sometimes adults just need to deal with stresses in their own way and resolve the problem themselves. It's nice of you though to care about his feelings though.

give him a great big hug and tell him you love him... that would certainly make all his stress fly by.
