I'm not very computer literate. I have a fairly new computer so I think it has the capability to make DVD slideshows but I don't know for sure. I don't know the first thing about doing it. I want to make DVDs putting music to the pictures. Can anyone tell me how to do it? I've never even burned a CD or DVD, so please give me all the basic information. Thanks.

Do you have MS Office on the computer? If so, it comes with Powerpoint, which is a presentation program. With it you can import your pictures and make a slideshow, in this case a Powerpoint presentation, with music. Read the tutorial and help features in Powerpoint. Once the presentation is completed, your DVD software should burn it to DVD for you.

I use Ahead Nero. It allows you to build slide shows with custom transitions and save the pictures to the disc as normal picture files so they can shared easily. it even transcodes the show to be playable on most DVD players. It's the easiest program I have found for it. I have listed there site, but a copy most likely came with your computer. I have gotten one with my desktop, my laptop, and my dvd burner.

See if you have Windows Movie Maker on your computer. That will do it.
