Say you go to Sportsclips and get a regular $10 men's haircut (nothing fancy, just a standard haircut)
What should you tip? Do people even tip for haircuts anymore?

I am a stylist and here is how we look at tips.

If a person leaves $1.00 they are extremely cheap and they are only tipping because they feel they have to, but really don't want to.

$2.00: They would rather leave $1.00, but don't want to look cheap.

$3.00 or more: They really appreciate you!!!!

NO TIP: Us stylist always remember NON_TIPPERS, nobody in the salon is excited about taking you back to their chair. SAD BUT TRUE, those non tippers probably don't get as much of the stylist time as the tippers. If you are a good tipper your stylist will do a great job to keep you coming back.

a couple bucks -- when you pay more you should tip more. 20% is always good for any tip.

don't tip them, 10 bucks for 5 minutes of their time is a big enough tip as it is.
