Its more a pride issue for a man I think. Also when women cheat its not purely sexual. Women often cheat when they are actually looking for someone better than their current fella but don't yet want to make the leap and leave. Men know this and often feel a bit inadequate and second best when the women doesn't leave him after an affair.

It's different for each couple. Some women can't forgive cheating, some can. Some men can't, some can. It's more difficult for men to forgive it, and that's due to the difference between men and women. In primitive times, the ONLY way a man could be sure that his child was REALLY his child was to make SURE that his mate had NO opportunity to be with other men. Because when a man cheats it's almost always just about sex however when women have sex there is an emotional attachment 9 times out of 10 so it's easier for women to forgive because they know men usually think with the wrong head

I've been a victim in this field and forgave both parties and moved on. Takes 2 to make drama. I think the difference in men and women on the cheating lvl is more or less power. Men want to be dominant and most women are passive, not all, but most. For example, women look up to their man as a strong, lustful and dominating being while men look at their women as precious, delicate and sometimes... over-emotional. If a man is set aside for another man.. it's a dog fight to the death inside his head. Whereas us women can rationalize any given situation.. a bit too much sometimes.

I dont think a women has to forgive and she shouldnt forgive. But the reason I think women do is because women are more sensitive and beleave someone can change women and men dont think the same women are more emotional men arent as much. Men just think of it like this if another guy touched her i aint touching that dirty hoe again. I personally dont forgive a guy for cheating not like i dont want to but i see like this do it once they most probably do it again and plus you dont know who they slept with she might have something eww women try not to forgive.

She may say that she forgives you, but in reality you are giving her ammunition to use against you. Sometimes when a woman says that they forgive you, they actual mean it, but if she uses negative behavior towards you, saying they forgive you, but her forgiveness comes with strings attached, your in for pure hell. Just remember every argument, at anytime the woman will bring up the affair and throw it in your face.

For many women, everything depends on who you've cheated with, what she meant to you, how many people know, whether you told her or she found out herself. She has many things to consider. It's sad because statistics say she's usually the one with children and the lesser education and job skills.

Some guys that cheated that were forgiven become extremely paranoid that their woman would at some point give them the same bitter pill to swallow. Men become to involved in the delusion that their woman will cheat on them that the relationship will end anyways.

Before you decide to do anything, put yourself in the other person's shoes and think to yourself,
"If she did this to me, would I be okay with it? I think you know the answer.

Women feel insecure about it when ther man has cheeted on them. They think that it's there fault that he did cheet.
Men well i see it as the big man tough guy act if they show any feeling about this situation its as though they have become soft and men don't want to look that way.

If you have forgiven some one don't second guess your self if it was the right thing to do. I know that I was in the same situation about 2yrs ago and I still haven't forgiven my self for forgiving him.

Actully I had a mate once that slept with her boyfriend best friend and forgave her but made her life a living hell. So I donno why they do that. I suppose its because men dont really like to how their feelings about women (well most men I know, i might be worng) so when something like that happens they hold a grudge. where as women can forgive and maby give second chances but also let me say we dont forget. Unless you have the memory of a siv, like me. But i remeber what is important.

well i can speak from experience on this one... women dont always forgive...it really depends on how they feel about the other person. and if they are willing to what they work for so hard. or if they are going to let one thing ruin thier relationship and family. the best way to get past the forgiving part to look at the past as past. hope this helps.

Men rationalize differently because theyre more physical...ie: the woman is 'physically broken' if she cheated.
Short story: I gave my son a piece of cheese in a wrapper, he opened it up and the cheese slice broke in two pieces. He didnt want to eat it because it wasnt 'whole' As if, somehow, it wasnt as good. I made him eat it anyway and he hid behind a chair, sad. Years, later he remembers his emotions about it and laughs because the cheese had the same taste and flavor and didnt understand why it bothered him so much. Time and realization.
