What was he thinking, Muslims start wars for half what he said.
Freedom to express him self must be moderated by common sense.
We do not want them to turn there head to us, to start killing catholics, like that poor nun killed because of this.
Lets respect each other, if I don´t like your religion, I will not judge you, That is God´s job,
What good was he trying to provide with those comments, any way

Your question is gauged to produce a very specific desired result. It's like asking, "Did Jaylo's comment the other day help the world be a better place?"

Sometimes we need to hear hard truths about our shortcoming, not just platitudes. Sure, it is easier to say nice things that make others feel good about their selves. Nothing really wrong with that, if you're telling the truth.

Look, I"m islamic, and I didn't take offense. Things have been done in the name of religion, not just islam but christianity, which affected people adversely. The Prophet, bless his memory, did not have a wishy washy sit on the fence attitude about sin and unbelievers. If you think there haven't been Christian and Jewish leaders like that, then I have a bridge to sell you in Alaska.

Learn to think in context. Nothing really exists independently of nothing else. The Pope said what exactly? Did you read the speech? Can you or I quote him exactly? What are we fussing about? A speech made to a bunch of old scholars, which had a reference to an obscure medieval document that no one reads anyway?

What does this have to do with the price of bread in Cairo?

First you find and quote the Pope, and then ask what are the repercussions. Otherwise, you're just baiting people.

I agree that people of power and status should watch what they say...

On the other hand, there will always be a group of people who will be sensitive and b*itch about anything they can for attention.

People need to grow up and realize:

1. Everyone is human and prone to err
2. There are larger problems in life than focusing on the semantics (how things are said) of others.

Yes, because more people realize the evils of a false religion that murders nuns and burns churches for what someone else hundreds of miles away says.
